Vittoria Fiorilli, 89, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday, August 12, 2008.

Mrs. Fiorilli was a native of Rome, Italy, the daughter of the late Luigi DiVecchio and Anna Campanelli DiVecchio. She was very dedicated to her family and loved to travel. She loved the opera and enjoyed the voices of Pavarotti and Carreras.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaetano Fiorilli.

Mrs. Fiorilli is survived by her son, Dr. M. G. Fiorilli and his wife, Mona, of Roanoke Rapids; two granddaughters, Laura F. Crews and her husband, James, of Tampa, FL and Christiana D. Fiorilli of New York, NY; one grandson, Patrick Oliver Fiorilli, of Roanoke Rapids; several brothers and sister-in-laws; several nieces and nephews; and a special son, W. S. "Bill" Davis, Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Chocowinity.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Dr. Margie Holm officiating. Committal service will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends Wednesday, August 13, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
